A factory solar system earns its place against machinery loads and shift patterns. Roof area matters, but it is the second question. The first is what the production line draws, hour by hour, and how much of that draw falls inside daylight.
Factories that run through daylight are the natural fit for solar generation, because production and sunshine overlap. The 200KW factory system, set out in full in this range, shows the scale of array and storage involved when a system is asked to carry a production building. Use it to calibrate your expectations, then have your own load curve drawn before asking for a price.
Workshops and smaller production buildings follow the same method at smaller scale. Seasonal production matters too: a factory that peaks in summer uses a system differently from one that peaks in winter, and the configuration should say so.
Larger factory systems are offered at series level, including a 1MW factory system, with no detailed standard parameters. At that scale, confirm the complete configuration for your project in writing before ordering.
Before ordering, confirm the minimum order quantity and lead time for your configuration, and ask which documents apply to the exact system you are quoted.
